Are we living in a simulation
What is simulation.?
First of all, we need to understand this just by a simple example. We all have played PC games in our early childhood. there, we control our player according to our will and there are some restricted areas where we can not go and some powers which we cannot use them. Likewise, we, all the living organisms, earth and the whole universe is in computer simulation means we are controlled by more advanced people .
This idea is given by the philosopher Nick Bostrom in 2003 popularised by “simulation argument “
Are we real ..?
Now, this seems to be quite a weird question. Since this idea is given, there are a lot more debates on this topic.
Many scientists just believe it as a non-sense and a hoax. But some philosophers, scientists and thinkers believe in this theory just because of following reasons :
1) Cosmic speed of light: no object can exceed this ultimate speed of light, representing the transmitting information within a network of our simulation.
2) Famous double-slit experiment :
Electrons usually producing interference pattern indicates wave-like behaviour. But when the same experiment has been performed under observation, behave like particles, And not waves and no interference pattern is observed. Some people have concluded from this it means our simulation is conversing its resource and rendering certain things only when it known we are looking at them.
3) Anthropic principle: for life start on earth, we just get everything to be just right. We are at the perfect distance from the sun where life could exist and got atmosphere with correct composition and gravity is just tight enough. For making life finally tuned. If anything of them would change or become little stronger, Life would not exist, seemingly one has set the conditions accurate to give us life.
Conclusion :
There are no such pieces of evidence found on this theory and without this, these ideas are simply hypothetical. Hope so, In future, some of the brilliant minds find some clue regarding this theory.
